Despite
changeable weather conditions the fish continued to feed at Town Parks Fishery
this week. The Specimen Lake saw fish coming to the bank for both big fish and
coarse anglers alike.
Rod Metcalf
decided to fish for Bream from peg 2 on one of the calmer days. Fishing his
feeder just off the main island and a couple of maggot on the hook Metcalf
netted over 60lbs of decent sized fish.
Town Parks
Fishery regular Rod Metcalf had a hectic session form peg 2 on the Specimen
Lake banking over 60lbs of good sized Bream. The fish
fell to double maggot offered towards the main island.

Meanwhile on
peg 14 Town Parks newcomer Dan Court fished some homemade boilies around the
central bar area. Court was overjoyed as he banked his sixth fish of the
session a fine Common of 20lbs dead!!
Local rod
Nick Solomon fished a quick overnight session from 6 and netted a fine Common
of 22lbs 7oz! The fish fell to a Cell boilie offered close to the island in
front of the swim.
Plymouth rod
Rich Jenkins fished C C Moore boilies close to the waterfall adjacent to peg 7
and was rewarded with two high teen Mirrors.
Catfish were
a little hesitant to feed despite the water temperature remaining around the 15
degree mark!!
The top Match
Lake fished a little harder than of late with anglers having to use their
watercraft to find the fish. That said, some nice sized Carp were taken, mainly
from the margins falling to pellet or maggot.
Silvers fed
sporadically with small to medium bags reported from most pegs.
The onsite
shop is open as normal throughout the Winter Months with stocks of fresh and
frozen bait always available.
With
Christmas approaching the shop holds a good stock of gifts for all kinds of
angler including Fishing Vouchers which are also available by post.
