Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 17/11

Once again the Specimen Lake at Town Parks Fishery produced great sport, with anglers enjoyed the action from most pegs.

Local rod Paul Knapman fished with coarse angling newcomer Mark Yardley from pegs 7 and 8. Knapman fished a Cell boilie towards the central bar and was rewarded with a fine Common Carp of 22lbs 12oz. Shortly afterwards Yardleys alarms screamed off and, after an extended battle a good Common of 16lbs 11oz was on the bank.

Once again a Cell boilie did the trick!

Paignton rod Andy Handshaw chose peg 2 and banked two Carp within two hours as the sun rose. Handshaws fish of 19lbs 2oz and 16lbs 8oz both fell to a strawberry boilie offered near the main island.

Gordon Batt visited peg 1 and took a good high teens Linear Carp, a nice condition Common around the same size and a fine Tench of 7lbs 8oz! All Batts fish fell to fruit flavoured boilies.

Torquay rod Gordon Batt fished from peg 1 at Town Parks Fishery and netted this fine Tench which fell to a fruity boilie.

Local rod Gordon Batt baked this beautifully scaled Linear Carp from peg 1 at Town Parks Fishery.
This fine condition Mirror Carp was one of several fish banked from peg 1 at Town Parks Fishery by Torquay rod Gordon Batt. The fish fell to a fruity boilie offered near the main island.

Town Parks regular Nick Solomon fished from 10 and netted three Carp to 17lbs!

Town Parks Fishery regular Nick Solomon fished from peg 10 and banked three double figure Carp including this lovely Mirror. The fish fell to Cell boilies offered midwater.

The top Match Lake was still a little sporadic with some anglers taking good bags whilst other banked nothing! Dead maggot offered in the margins during the afternoons proved to be the best tactic although fish did take various baits during the day.

Some good Bream are still feeding just off the main island taking maggot or meat.
