Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 8/4

Another good week of catches on both lakes at Town Parks Fishery saw many anglers enjoying excellent sport.

The upper Match Lake produced good bags of Carp many of which fell to coarse pellet offered on the waggler up in the water.

Excellent bags of Silvers were reported from many pegs with nets to just under the 100lb mark coming from some of the deeper water pegs.

Maggot and caster on size 16 hooks worked particularly well.

Pupils from Paignton College enjoyed one of their regular tutored sessions with all participants taking Roach, Rudd and Perch which fell to maggot offered up in the water!

On the lower Specimen Lake, Catfish were very active with many anglers reporting “hectic” sport!
Fish to the high twenty’s came to the bank many falling to luncheon meat or worm  offered in the margins.

Some very nice Carp were also taken from many pegs around the Lake – fish seem to be feeding freely in both deep and shallow water.
