Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 24/2

Catches continued to “buck the trend” at Town Parks Fishery this week with good fish still coming to the bank!

The Match Lake saw anglers enjoying good bags of Silvers and Carp. Carp took coarse pellet and sweetcorn at various depths and Silvers fell to maggot, castor and luncheon meat.
Once again regular Rod Metcalf found the Carp feeding around various pegs. At times the Carp were up in the water taking corn.

Peg 1 provided good sport with six Carp to double figures banked from the margin towards peg 20.

Plenty of Silvers came to the net, one angler reporting Roach to the 2lbs 8oz mark with nothing under 1lbs 8oz!

Junior angler Hannah Glendall fished a session with dad Paul offering sweetcorn on the float. After a short while the float went under and Hannah managed to net her first Carp of 3lbs 8oz!
