Town Parks Fishing Catch Report w/e 12/9

Good catches were reported from both lakes at Town Parks Fishery this week.
The lower Specimen Lake produced plenty of 20lbs+ fish for anglers doing their watercraft.

Once again Dave Osmond showed them the way taking four twenty’s in half an hour.
First fish to the bank a fine Common of 25lbs 2oz which fell to a cell boilie offered in the margins, shortly afterwards a good Mirror of 23lbs 4oz graced the bank after falling for the same tactics! Two Commons of 21lbs 2oz and 20lbs 4oz followed.

Andy Webster fished peg 8 and took two Commons, the best a fine 23lbs 6oz which fell to hot and spicy luncheon meat.

Local rod Andy Webster banked this fine Common Carp from peg 8 at Town Parks Fishery. Webster lured the fish of 23lbs 6oz with hot and spicy luncheon meat offered mid water.
Brian James fished an uncomfortable night in very windy conditions but did bank three Carp two Mirrors of 22lbs 4oz and 19lbs 5oz and a lovely fully scaled Mirror of 20lbs 9oz. All James’s fish came to Japanese Squid boilies offered mid water.

On the top Match Lake good sport was reported from most pegs.

Bream are still coming to the bank in numbers as are Roach and Rudd. Maggot offered shallow seems irresistible!

Carp to the 10lbs mark are taking coarse pellet on the waggler or splasher from peg 10 and along the dam wall.

With more unsettled weather coming the fish should continue to feed up ready for winter.
