The top Match Lake continued to produce some great sport at Town Parks Fishery this week!
Very good bags of Silvers and Carp were reported from most pegs around the lake.
Catch of the week went to Kingswear rod Richard Ward who banked two Roach of 2lbs 8oz followed by a personal best of 3lbs 2oz! Ward also took a couple of Carp to 4lbs 8oz from peg 17. All the fish fell to 7mm coarse pellet offered on the bottom.
Rod Metcalf had a great session from peg 13 taking 22 Carp on pellet during a shortened day session.
Medium to large bags of Silvers continued to be taken from most pegs, maggot and castor tending to be the preferred baits.
Ian Ross again banked fish from peg 10. Ross’s best fish a nice Common of 18lbs 2oz.
Matt Feakes visited peg 9 and banked a couple of nice Commons, the best 17lbs 2oz.
Fish are now moving freely but have been hesitant to feed on some days. Watercraft is the key to taking the fish which are feeding.
Both lakes are open as normal with no matches booked.
